Application for license or renewal; Compliance with local municipal codes, state and federal laws; Conformance to fire safety regulations; Criminal history record checks for employees; Employee health screening and TB testing; Admission agreement; Medical evaluation prior to admission; TB assessment for residents; Influenza education for residents; Well-planned meals; Adequate heating and cooling; Adequate lighting; Smoke detectors; Automatic sprinkler system; Building construction requirements; Water supply and sewerage disposal approval; Bedrooms with outside exposure, not below grade, minimum 80 sq ft per bed, no more than four persons per room; Living rooms and recreation rooms; Laundry facilities; Kitchen area.
